ABC Life Support a look back at 2018 and more great work in 2019
Last year saw some great work being delivered by ABC Life Support - First Aid Training.
Free 2 day Mental Health First Aid Trainingto residents of Metropolitan Housing via the Community Engagement office at the CHS (Cambridgeshire Housing Society) and funded by Metropolitan Thames Valley. This course had 100% attendance and the delegate's feedback was exemplary.
Here is one piece feedback from one of the delegates:
'Brilliant course, was worried about attending due to my own issues and poor mental health. So pleased and really grateful this course was available. Quite upset this course has finished, although I have obtained priceless skills and information and met some lovely people'
We are proud to have been commissioned to deliver another course for residents this spring.
We have delivered2 free courses to young parentsor expecting parents attending the young people's program at Romsey Mill. This teaches the young parents the skills required to act in an emergency involving their new baby. Priceless knowledge we impart for free.
We deliveredsubsidised Emergency First Aidcourses to charities including the Phoenix Trust and Camturst and Jimmys Shelter helping them to be compliant at a cost that is sympathetic to their work.
2019 will see us expand on our delivery to social enterprises, charities and individuals at a cost that suits, including free courses where this is beneficial. This is all in line with our mission - to deliver first aid training for all regardless of social or demographic limitations.
