Let's Talk Good Finance Essex

Thanks to funding from Barrow Cadbury's Trust Fund, Social Enterprise East of England was able to work collaboratively with the Big Society Capital Team to bring Let's Talk Good Finance event to Essex.  30 people attended this event and were treated (with thanks) to presentations from:

A lot of lessons have been learnt at these events and the most valuable lessons have been from those who've already taken on social investment. Read the 7 lessons of social investment.

The Good Finance website has lots of useful information including a diagnostic tool and case studies of organisations who have already used social investment. It also has an investor directory and some great templates to help you with your business planning as well as resources to help you measure your impact.

If you feel that your board would benefit from some support to find out more about social investment GET INFORMED has free resources and mentors who can help.

Social Investment Tax Relief was also mentioned and if you'd like to learn more about this, you'll find a wealth of resources via GET SITR, which is an initiative to help more charities and social enterprises use the tax incentive.
