Where Does It Come From?
Where Does It Come From? is an ethical clothing brand based in Suffolk. Since 2013 we've been partnering with social enterprises in India to create eco-friendly, fair trade garments that come with their story. This year we are launching a new transparent supply chain in Africa. We're creating a range of tunic tops and accessories using organic, rain fed cotton from Uganda, which will be tailored by a social enterprise in Malawi that creates livelihoods for women. You can find out more about the project here
Ethical Fashion and environmental issues are frequent news items these days - with Burberry recently condemned for burning £29.6 million of goods last year to avoid lowering prices https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-44885983 and the government's review into fast fashion due to take place in September.
To fund this new production we will be running a crowdfund which will go live in September. Customers will have the opportunity to pledge for one of the first tunics (at a cheaper price then final retail prices!) and will be kept involved throughout the production, with photos and videos of what is happening at the front line.
