We are currently working with Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority in a consortium to deliver a social enterprise support programme across their region. As the lead partner, we are looking for a project manager to help deliver and co-ordinate the programme.

Project Manager (Social Enterprise Support Programme)

About the work and this role:

We are seeking a self-employed consultant to manage and deliver a Social Enterprise Support Programme across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The programme provides a suite of support initiatives designed to help social enterprises start, grow, and thrive, including:

  • Start and Grow support programmes for early-stage and scaling social enterprises
  • A centralised resource hub providing business support materials and programme links
  • Workshops and training on key business topics
  • One-to-one mentoring and coaching with industry experts
  • Networking opportunities to connect social entrepreneurs with peers and stakeholders
  • An innovative Community Wealth Building programme, promoting local economic resilience

As Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of these initiatives, ensuring impact, efficiency, and strong stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities will include Programme Management & Delivery, Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships, Financial & Resource Management and Marketing & Communications.

Terms:

Contract type: Self-Employed Consultant

Location: Home-based, working across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.

Hours: 3 days (21 hours) per week (flexible working available)

Rate: £130 per day. Contract Duration: 10 months initially, with an expectation of extension to 3 years (subject to funding)
