Creating Spaces for Social Enterprise to Grow
SEEE supports the development and delivery of Social Enterprise Hubs—dedicated spaces where local people and organisations can come together to collaborate, learn, and grow social businesses.
SEEE has extensive experience of commissioning and supporting the creation of Social Enterprise Hubs. In Cambridgeshire and Peterborough we have worked with the local authority and the local social impact sector to map opportunities for funding that deliver real community benefit.
By bringing together social entrepreneurs, support providers, and key stakeholders, SEEE helps create thriving ecosystems that nurture innovation, foster community pride, and drive lasting social impact across the East of England.

The Printworks
The Printworks has now been transformed from a derelict building into a vibrant community space featuring a café, microbrewery, and pizzeria, providing a lively social hub for residents. It also offers a dedicated workspace for social entrepreneurs and small businesses, with facilities such as meeting rooms and collaboration spaces.
Operated by Function 5 CIC and owned by Allia Ltd, this dynamic new social enterprise hub marks a major milestone for the village of Papworth Everard.
Developed by Allia Ltd with grant funding from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority’s (CPCA) Market Towns programme. Part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund provided by South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC).
My Space
Open since 2018, Wisbech Community Farm helps local residents to gain confidence, develop skills and improve their wellbeing through animal assisted services, social therapeutic horticulture and other land-based opportunities. This brand new building replaces an old caravan and wooden buildings and combines sustainable, carbon neutral energy solutions with accessible facilities.
Owned and operated by People and Animals CIC this hub will enable the farm to increase its offer for local people and reduce the waiting list for support, whilst developing opportunities to help social enterprises in the area to thrive.
Funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority’s (CPCA) Market Towns programme with match funding from Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridgeshire Community Foundation and The National Lottery Community Fund, the farm has also received support from Anglian Water’s @one Alliance and Strategic Pipeline Alliance.
REMO Eco Hub
REMO (formerly known as CCORN, Cambridgeshire Community Reuse and Recycling Network Ltd) have purchased and are renovating buildings to expand their Eco Hub in March. The Eco Hub supports Fenland based social enterprises as well as co-located retail opportunities to help local residents access affordable eco products and services.
