If you’re looking for volunteers for a Suffolk event then the Volunteering team at Community Action Suffolk can help you find people whilst also promoting your event on their social media platforms. So it’s a win win!

Event Volunteering is a great way to meet like-minded people, have a fun day out, and to see some of the event for free!  If people don’t want an on-going commitment this sort of one-off volunteering is perfect.  Research from NCVO shows that people are also more likely to volunteer if they can do it with others so event volunteering is perfect for this.  NCVO also found that 50% of people more likely to volunteer with if there is flexibility over the time they can do it.  By having a calendar of events this provides people with choice to fit in volunteering with their busy lifestyle.

Andy Simpson, Employer Supported Volunteering Officer uses their events calendar to find opportunities for the businesses they could be working with.  Andy tells us that finding large numbers of employees wanting to volunteer is the easy part; finding the opportunities is more difficult. So if you want to take advantage of this supply of volunteers then make sure your event is listed!

If you have a Suffolk event that you are looking for volunteers for, why not post it on the Volunteer Suffolk events calendar or you can email laurell.mitchell@communityactionsuffolk.org.uk
